Peru, South Americana in a Nut Shell?
I read recently that Peru and Ecuador are south america in a nutshell. Would not know about this as in quite green still to the whole latino wonderland. I am quite enjoying the freedom that comes with solo travel, and combined with the limitations of language, it is quite the adventure. Life is a balance I have come to respect and intrigued to understand. The traces of life the incas and pre-incas have left behind have filled my head with so much new knowledge and perspective. This world is an amazing place, so big and so small all at the same time. Sample the places I have seen and await the epicola stories to follow.

Tonga Time
Tonga was a great place to come and unwind after the Ice, a year there.
Crossing over to Uoleva Island during low tide was both an adventure and a highlight. What a treat to find such a beautiful and secluded place. A spot to relax and rejuvenate, and to take in the sound of the crashing ocean.
Another beautiful sunset view, this one from my fale.
The current and wind was too strong to cross back to the main Island, so we called in the boat taxi.

382 Days Completes a Year in Antarcica

It happened, db left her Antarctic home. Now I am off to many days of adventure and few days of manual labor.
So far in New Zealand, I have soaked in the thermal pools at Hanmer Springs, ripped on my snowboard down the slopes of Mt Hutt, driven on the Kiwi side of the road, and slept in a van down by the river. So far so good...
And Monday, it is off to the beaches of tropial Tonga.
Thank you Antarctica for a fabulous year, an adventure that I will cherish forever.
Sun is Back
This day inspired a round of disc golf. Nevermind that the low windchill turned out at -74degreesF, our sun was up and we observed light reflecting on snow slopes.

"Nice, I Like"
This fabulous Sunday continued with some Olymics spectator events, cheese/cracker/tomato/basil snack courtesy of my favorite greenhouse guru, and then some great news: Auroras on the back porch in full moon view. Stellar.

I Agree
The Best Sunday ever was just followed by the best Saturday night in a long while! It topped the list for parties (for many reasons), and believe it that we have had some good ones. I did get punched, but nothing broke or bled this time!![]()
I love all these characters.

love, db
